WHAT WE DO //

Exhibitions //

Every year we gather our artist friends, old and new, and put on a show for our mates. A different theme every time – artists produce work in whichever medium they see fit. During the production process, we always meet up for drinks, everyone gets to know each other, everyone has a say in how the show comes life, we promote it together, and we take it down together. This creates a collective legacy that allows everyone to feel pride in what they’ve done and a desire to do it again.

Our exhibition walls are filled with work from amazing and diverse talent, and we’re very proud that our artists come from all walks of life and choose to work with us because we’re inclusive.

No show is ever the same – the work on the walls is why people visit, but we like to create an immersive space that people can interact with and hang out for longer.

Projects //

We often have ideas that require collaboration. Whether a book, a tea towel or online gallery – we put the feelers out to the right artists and see where it goes. No one’s asked us to make this thing, we just think it’d be a shame for that idea to disappear in a notebook somewhere. Naturally, the ideas that resonate the most with our network of artists are the ones that get made – before being put out into the wider world to see if it resonates there too.

Events //

Artists are show offs and we’re no different. Similar to our exhibitions, we like to engage and entertain people with our events. With life drawing, we saw an institution that was needlessly stuffy and elitist – it’s someone in the buff surrounded by people with pens and paper FFS! – so we decided to create The Joy of Drawing as a cheery and chill antidote. With Drink and Not Draw, it was a natural extension to our exhibition meet-ups where artists can simply meet other artists to chat shop, learn about the industry or simply make friends with likeminded people. But ultimately it’s all the same – getting good and talented people together because we believe in inclusion not exclusion.

Art Fairs //

The Arty Farty Art Fair and the Arty Farty Art Shop were plans that were sadly scuppered as a result of the pandemic, but whilst we find our feet again, we’ll continue to be a part of amazing art fairs hosted by others. It’s a great way to meet and hang out with other artists and to see other engage with your work.
